Grupo Lamosa values the contribution of its suppliers, recognizing their role in the development of its world-class products. Specifically, the Tile Business’s main suppliers provide clays and enamels.
Relations with the company’s value chain are based on two main pillars. Firstly, Grupo Lamosa seeks to align its business partners with its values by asking them to acknowledge and adopt its Code of Ethics. Secondly, all supplier candidates are evaluated in terms of expected quality standards and their compliance with local legislation.
Grupo Lamosa has implemented an Operational Excellence Model to support a segment of its Tile Business suppliers, in order to strengthen the business relationship and provide ongoing support to enhance quality and efficiency in their operations.
DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL SUPPLIERS
Grupo Lamosa has a Local Supply Policy which encourages the contracting of suppliers close to the production plants and in the countries where it operates.
Furthermore, the company offers various support programs for local suppliers. In Mexico, through its participation in business chambers such as the Mexican Competitiveness Center (CCMX) and the Nuevo León Chamber of Industry (CAINTRA), training is provided for small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector.
Throughout 2023, these industry organizations held business meetings open to all SMEs interested in participating, including businesses that are part of Grupo Lamosa’s value chain. These events offer business advisory services on various topics, and the creation of new commercial relationships is encouraged, thereby facilitating the integration of the SME’s participating into the production chains of Mexico’s large companies.
